One of my bestest friends in the whole world got me this mug for my birthday this year.   She gets me.  She got it from this etsy store and had one of my favorite all time quotes printed on it...

Every morning I start out with that little extra motivation, how could I have a bad day?  And the little pocket on the side is for a tea bag...or shortbread...I'm thinking shortbread.  

I met her during our time on Guam, like my second week there and we just gave each other a big hug and it was like let's be friends!  We would always meet at this little beachside coffee shop to discuss major life happenings...

Anyways, I just had a pretty tough week...it's hard to find a job, I got turned down by the Masters program, and wasn't sure which direction to go.  But I think I've found my path, and more on that as it develops.  One thing I'm changing is...since we moved to Florida 3 months ago I find things I like but never go do them.  Well, that's changing!  While I have the extra time, I'm going to make a list of things I want to try and do at least one every day.  I'm certainly not going to get any further just doing my same old routine.

Also, I just haven't been cooking a ton this week, at least not blog-able stuff, and just felt like writing about life a little bit.  I'm ready to enjoy the end of this summer, we have a trip coming up to visit our families, and I'm so so excited for my favorite season ever...FALL!  And this will be the hubster's first fall in 3 years, we have a new smoker (eeep!) and are both Virginia Tech Alums, so our weekends will be devoted to Hokie football.

Life is good.
