So I'm currently flying home from house hunting. (I'm obsessed with this in-flight wifi situation!) I can happily announce we have a house!!!!! It was a stressful trip that ended up going better and smoother than I ever could have dreamed. Not everything was perfect, but the right things were. But more on that another time because, um hello, there's Creme Brulee staring us in the face!
I adore Creme Brulee. If it's on the menu you know I'm ordering at the end of the night. I realized I've never made it at home before. Challenge accepted. And while perusing the aisles of the grocery I just had to have Kiwi but had no plan for what I was going to do with it. Sometimes you don't have to plan ahead. Just go wild.
When Julie of Tastefully Julie asked me to guest post while she is off soaking up some sun (aren't I jealous!) I got super excited. Not only is this my first time guest posting, but Julie is such an awesome foodie and friend, you should definitely meet her and see her mouthwatering photos.
So for the rest of the scoop and recipe for this creamy, slightly tart, fruity dessert head on over to Tastefully Julie!
And welcome to Julie's readers! Hi! Stop by any time and take a look around. You can find more Seaweed and Sassafras on Facebook and Pinterest too.
What a gorgeous dessert!! Heading over now to check out the recipe!! :)
ReplyDeleteAbby, does your new place have room for chickens? Maybe? Hope so!!
ReplyDeleteI wish! We had to forgo the chickens, but we back up to a beautiful bay instead. I will be happily supporting the local farmers in a few weeks :)
DeleteOh what a cool twist on creme brulee (which I love utterly). Sounds fantastic and Spring appropriate!
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous dessert!! so creative!
ReplyDeleteYour guest post was absolutely wonderful! Too many times kiwi fruit is ignored as a fruit in dessert - you have displayed it perfectly :)
