I'm overly excited about Farmer's Markets opening back up soon. I'm trying to play it cool over here...
There are just so many possibilities to be found! I walk around in a slight daze, wanting to try everything and figuring out how to make the difficult choice of what to buy this trip and what to save to try for next time.
My biggest splurge has to be a $9 chicken breast. I think it was just one...but it was the best tasting chicken breast I've ever had.
So where am I going with this? Thanks to Barb at A Life in Balance, I discovered this website call Local Harvest that connects people to their local farms and markets. Genius! All you do is type in your zip code.
I added their widget to my blog - you can find it in the right hand bar... (There it is in the picture!) But realized I never explained what the heck it is or how to use it. Duh.
You can either click on the Local Harvest box there and go straight to the website, or where it says "Eat Local" you can enter your zipcode (nothing is saved, shared, seen, etc.) and hit enter on your keyboard to go directly to your local results.
It.is.awesome. I even found some new places to try around here. Can't wait!
